For example, if you’re on a summer road trip and need a fun conversation starter, you can use these exact questions to get everyone talking about their preferences and see who has similar likes.
You can also play Summer This or That over the phone by simply asking questions like, do you prefer the pool or the beach? Lastly, it works as a great summer party game with a large crowd.
How to Play This or That
The great thing about This or That is that there are many different ways you can play. For example:
Say It Out Loud
If you’re keeping things super casual and just want a conversation starter with a friend/ family member; you can pull up this list and ask a series of This or That questions out loud. Then you can talk through your answers together.
Party Game
If you’re hosting a summer party or a larger gathering and want a fun activity for everyone, you can use this Summer This or That list to see what everyone prefers. You can make it physically interactive by having everyone stand in the middle. If they choose this, they move to the left, and if they choose that, they move to the right.
You can also keep it simple by having people raise their hand for this or raise their hand for that. Another fun option is using DIY colored or labeled cards. Give everyone two cards, one that says this and one that says that. If they prefer this, they hold up the “this” card, and if they prefer that, they hold up the “that” card.
