Girly Hobbies

1. Pilates

Okay, first up on the list of girly hobbies is pilates. It’s been trending everywhere lately, and honestly, it totally lives up to the hype. From building strength to improving flexibility, it’s a cute and active hobby if you’re looking for something that moves your body and makes you feel amazing. I see a lot of people going to in-person pilates classes, but you can totally follow free YouTube workouts at home and still get an incredible burn.

2. Reading

Say it with me: “Girly girls love reading!” One hobby I’ll never stop raving about is reading. It’s not only a great way to learn new things or get lost in a story, but it also helps improve your focus. (raising my hand because I’m a guilty iPad adult and constant scrolling has totally shortened my attention span).

Plus, reading can help build your vocabulary and overall comprehension skills. I hope I’ve convinced you to give reading a shot, lol. Whether it’s fiction, nonfiction, or even online articles, you seriously won’t regret adding this hobby to your life. And if you want a practical guide on how to start reading and ACTUALLY fall in love with it, check out the article linked below.

3. Pottery

From making mugs to bowls and even cute little trinkets, pottery looks like such a cool hobby. And if you’re someone who loves working with your hands, you’d probably find it super relaxing and rewarding. There’s just something so satisfying about creating something from scratch and then actually being able to use it.

Plus, pottery studios are becoming really popular now, so you can totally sign up for a beginner’s class or even grab an at-home clay kit to try it out yourself. Who knows, you might end up making your new favorite mug or plate!

4. Painting

Tap into your Bob Ross era and start painting. From paint by number canvases to painting something completely from scratch, painting can be a peaceful and creative hobby. You don’t have to be a professional to enjoy it. Just grab some brushes, a few paint colors, and let your imagination (or a painting tutorial) do the rest.

5. Volunteering

Another one of my fav girly hobbies is volunteering. Whether it’s helping out at a dog shelter, serving at a homeless outreach program, or mentoring younger girls; volunteering is such a rewarding hobby. And not just for you but for others as well.

6. Coloring

As a child, I feel like I didn’t appreciate coloring as much as I should’ve. Because as an adult, I absolutely love it! From detailed geometric coloring pages to kid style graphics, coloring has become one of my favorite hobbies.

And one of the best things that I like about it, is how it helps me to slow down. In a world that’s always go, go, go, coloring can give you a chance to pause, focus, and just be present in the moment. Plus, it’s a simple and affordable way to unwind after a long day.

7. Doing Your Makeup

Raise your hand if you grew up playing in makeup or spent hours watching makeup tutorials on YouTube? When I think of girly hobbies, one of the first things that comes to mind is doing your makeup. From glam looks to bold, colorful, and creative designs, makeup is such a fun way to express yourself.

8. Baking

Do you have a sweet tooth, love measuring ingredients, or enjoy trying new flavors? If you said yes to any of these, then baking might just be your new favorite hobby. From cookies to bread and even full-on cakes, baking is not only fun and creative but also comes with one of the sweetest rewards. Literally!

9. Cooking

I know so many people who prefer baking over cooking, or cooking over baking, and some who love both. If you’re more into cooking, this is your chance to get creative in the kitchen. Have fun experimenting with different dishes, trying new flavors, and making meals that are just as satisfying to make as they are to eat.

10. Start a Social Media Page About Your Favorite Thing

Whether it’s a page dedicated to the foods you’ve tried at different restaurants or one showcasing your outfits; starting a social media page about something you love is such a fun hobby. It’s a creative way to share your passion, connect with people who like the same things, and even document your journey along the way.

11. Growing Herbs or Flowers

Basil, parsley, cilantro, flowers… there are so many options! When it comes to herbs, try growing something you’ll actually use. For example, if you love making pesto, growing your own basil is such a satisfying way to add fresh flavor to your dishes. And if flowers are more your vibe, cultivating a little garden can brighten up your space and your mood.
