As you celebrate Galentine’s Day, it’s also a beautiful opportunity to reflect on where love comes from (God). And that love should remain at the center of everything that we do.
1. If I speak in the tongues of men or of angels, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. 2. If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. 3. If I give all I possess to the poor and give over my body to hardship that I may boast, but do not have love, I gain nothing. (1 Corinthians 13:1-3)
Another one of my favorite verses for Galentine’s Day is Proverbs 17 verse 17. Which states “A friend loves at all times, and a brother is born for a time of adversity”.
So whether you’re playing these songs in the background at a party, during a car ride, or while spending quality time with your girls, let this Galentine’s Day be a reminder of how powerful love and friendship truly are.
