1. Create a Cozy Playlist

Starting off the list of cozy fall aesthetic activities, is creating a cozy playlist. There’s something so incredible about the way music can capture feelings and preserve moments.

In the summertime, you might listen to a lot of upbeat and carefree songs. And in the fall; you can lean into the slow and warm vibes of the season and build a playlist filled with slower tunes.

2. Put a Fall Themed Wallpaper on Your Devices

One of my favorite (and totally free!) ways to get into a new season is by setting a seasonal wallpaper on your phone or other devices. Every time I unlock my screen, it’s a nice little reminder of the cozy fall vibes.

3. Wear Cute and Cozy Loungewear

It may seem like a small thing, but wearing cute and cozy loungewear can make such a big difference in how you feel at home.

Don’t get me wrong, I’m all about an oversized T-shirt and leggings; but there’s just something about a cute lounge set that feels like chef’s kiss. It makes being at home feel extra special and gives you that “put together without even trying” vibe.

4. Make a Fall Movie List

From old classics to newer releases, create a go-to list of movies you want to watch this season. I don’t know about you, but I always waste so much time scrolling for something to watch. Only to end up picking a movie I don’t really like, or worse, falling asleep before it really gets good.

Having a pre-made list of movies you’re excited about, can help cut down on that decision fatigue. When it’s time for a cozy movie night, all you have to do is pick one from your list, press play, and enjoy.

5. Light a Fall Scented Candle

If you love candles, this one’s a must. Swap out your usual scents for a cozy fall candle. Think pumpkin spice, apple cinnamon, or warm vanilla to instantly set the autumn mood.

And if candles aren’t really your thing, no worries! You can still bring that cozy fragrance into your space with a wall plug-in, a room spray, or even an essential oil diffuser.

6. Decorate for Fall

Continuing on with engaging our five senses is sight; another great way to feel the season is to actually see it reflected in your space. Decorating for fall is such a fun way to bring those cozy vibes indoors.

Whether it’s swapping your bedding for a fall themed comforter; adding pumpkins around your space; or hanging up some cute leaf garlands; there are so many easy ways to sprinkle a little fall charm throughout your space.

7. Have a Friendsgiving

Whether you’re hosting or just attending, Friendsgiving is the perfect cozy fall activity to add to your list. It’s more than just a Thanksgiving style dinner; it’s a chance to gather with friends; share good food; play games; and celebrate the season of gratitude and thankfulness together.

8. Buy Fresh Flowers

Fresh flowers are such a simple way to bring warmth and charm into your home. You can add them to your dining table, bedroom, living room, basically anywhere you want to spruce up.

Not only do they instantly make a space feel more inviting, but seeing them can also help boost your mood. What I love most is that flowers require minimal effort yet make such a big impact on how a space looks and feels.

9. Start a Lazy Hobby

When I think of a cozy fall aesthetic, gentle and light hobbies instantly come to mind. If you’ve been wanting to start a new hobby but don’t have the energy or time for something high maintenance, consider trying out a “lazy” hobby.

From coloring to crocheting, these simple activities are perfect for winding down and embracing the season. Check out the link below for some of my favorite easy and low effort hobbies you can start right now.

In light of Thanksgiving and the fall season naturally bringing a spirit of gratitude, starting a gratitude journal is a wonderful habit to build.

Simply writing down the things you’re thankful for, even in the midst of life’s ups and downs, can help us stay centered and grounded.

12. Get a Fall Manicure

If you’re someone that loves to get their nails done, fall is a great time to match your manicure to the season.

From dark moody shades to chocolatey browns and patterns, a fall manicure is such a fun way to add personality and a little extra cuteness to your look.

13. Go to a Pumpkin Patch

I can’t put together a fall aesthetic activities list, without mentioning a pumpkin patch!

Whether you’re picking out a pumpkin for carving; snapping cute pictures; or just strolling through rows of colorful pumpkins; it’s a simple yet magical way to soak up the autumn vibes.

20. Watch a Cozy Show

From dramas to comedies and everything in between, pick a cozy show to start streaming this fall. Personally, I love finding older shows with lots of seasons. It’s the best because you can take your time, binge at your own pace, and really get lost in the story.

21. Cook a Fall Recipe

From soups to pastas and even festive breakfast dishes, fall is the perfect time to try out seasonal recipes. One of my friends recently found a homemade pumpkin spice coffee syrup recipe, and she’s been obsessed ever since. She says it makes her look forward to her morning coffee even more.

Recreating a fall recipe at home is such a fun way to bring seasonal flavors into your kitchen. Plus, you might be surprised to find that your homemade version tastes just as good, (if not better) than what you’d buy at a café or restaurant.

22. Go Thrifting for Fall Clothes

Shopping doesn’t have to break the bank, and one of my favorite things to do as the seasons change is go thrifting. From cute sweaters to blouses, it’s like a treasure hunt because you never know what gems you’ll come across. And of course, the cost savings compared to shopping retail makes it even better!

23. Visit a Sunflower Field

Late summer into early fall is peak sunflower season, so take advantage of this short and magical time and visit a sunflower field.

Walking through rows of tall, golden blooms is such a dreamy way to soak in the season. Plus, it’s the perfect backdrop for cozy fall photos and a sweet reminder to enjoy the simple beauty of nature while it lasts.

24. Journal Your Goals for the Month

Remember those New Year’s resolutions you set? Fall is the perfect time to revisit them and set fresh goals for the season. With the last quarter of the year here, there’s still so much you can accomplish. From fitness to finances, take a little time to jot down your goals and plans for the month.

I once heard a quote by Benjamin Franklin that says, “If you fail to plan, you are planning to fail,” and it couldn’t be more true. Writing your goals down and creating a plan of action is the first step to making them happen.

25. Go on a Weekend Getaway

If you don’t have the time to take a full vacation, take advantage of the weekend and plan a short getaway. From exploring a nearby city to traveling to a different state, a weekend trip is a fun way to add a little adventure and whimsy to your fall.

27. Attend a Fall Concert or Festival

From concerts to fall festivals, fall is the start of so many fun community events; especially as towns gear up for the holidays. Check your city or town’s event calendar and see what’s coming up.

Lace up your shoes and hit up a nature trail and go on a fall hike.

29. Have at Home Spa Nights

With cooler weather and the early sunsets from daylight saving time, fall is the perfect season to treat yourself to cozy at-home spa nights.
