5 Spring Bucket List Ideas you Need to do This Spring

Compared to other seasons like fall and winter, I really want to take more advantage of the spring season and enjoy some fun and aesthetic spring activities. Similar to how fall has its pumpkin spice flavors and thick sweaters, and winter is full of festive holiday celebrations; I’m trying to make the most of the short spring season by creating a mini spring bucket list of things to do.

I want to fully enjoy that sweet spot when the sun feels warm but not too hot. The flowers are blooming. And everything feels fresh and vibrant. So here’s my personal spring bucket list, filled with things I can’t wait to do this season. And I hope it inspires you with some fun ideas too.

Make a Flower Bouquet

One thing that’s always on my wish list, especially when it comes to gifts, is flowers. There’s just something about the smell, the colors, and the way they instantly brighten up a space. And since spring is peak flower season, it feels like the perfect time to enjoy them even more.

So this spring, I am adding “make my own flower bouquet” to my list. I want to pick out a few different flower stems, mix and match colors and textures, and try arranging them like a real florist.

Take a Day Trip

Between work, the busyness of everyday life, and finances, I don’t always have the time for a week long trip or even a weekend getaway. Which is why a day trip is perfect for this spring. I want to choose a nearby city, and spend the day exploring its local attractions.

Watch a Spring Movie

As someone who loves a cozy movie night, I had to add watching a movie to my bucket list. But not just any movie, a “spring-y” movie that captures the bright and fresh feeling of the season. I‘m thinking of films where flowers fill the scenes, birds are chirping, and everything feels soft, new, and full of life.

Here are a few movies I currently have on my list:

  • A Bug’s Life
  • Alice in Wonderland
  • Bee Movie
  • Pride & Prejudice
  • Anne of Green Gables
  • The Secret Garden

Make a Spring Inspired Recipe

Another spring bucket list idea that I’m excited about, is making a spring inspired recipe. From lemon blueberry muffins to pesto pasta, I want to fully lean into seasonal fruits and veggies and savor the fresh flavors within them.

Have a Picnic

Spring is peak picnic season, so of course it had to make the list. And honestly, it doesn’t have to be anything elaborate. It can be as simple as packing a few snacks from home or grabbing something on the way; heading to the park, sitting in the grass, and just enjoying the fresh air.
